Your mind can only think of so many things in a given day, wouldn’t you like to know how to boost your mental productivity?

Meditation will help you cope with the world we live in, a world that overloads us with information and communication.  It refreshes the mind, makes you wiser and gentler, and most importantly meditation makes you more productive by increasing your capacity to resist distracting urges.

Research shows that the ability to resist urges will improve your relationships, increase your dependability and raise your performance.  When you can resist your urges and focus on the task at hand, you will make better more thoughtful decisions.

Before I reveal to you how a entrepreneur or business owner utilizes meditation, we must understand our urges.  Urges hold useful information, for example if you get hungry or thirsty, usually it means you should eat or drink soon.  It could also be an indication that you are bored or struggling with your current task.

Meditation allows you to train your brain to understand the root of your impulse and whether or not you should intentionally follow through with the urge.

So how would you go about meditating like successful business owners?  Keep it simple, your given task while meditating is consciously following your breathe.  Sit comfortably with your back straight, close your eyes and follow your breathe.  If a thought other than your breathe comes to mind, acknowledge it, and return to your breathe.
